If you are using any other yarn, other
than that mentioned here ,you will hacve to use 2 sizes bigger hook than
recommended and the stitich count to suit the length

Chain the number of stitches
required to measure 11.5”
Foundation Row (The first Forward and
Return Pass will create the foundation Row)
Forward Pass:
Stick the hook into the second chain from the hook and pull up a loop. Continue
across the chain, pulling up a loop in each chain, leaving all loops on the
hook.
At the end of the chain, you will have the
same number of loops on the hook as chains that you started with.
Reverse pass: Yarn over and pull through one loop {Crochet
one extra chain ( return chain ) in the last stitch on Hook }
*Yarn over again and pull it through 2
loops *
Continue
* * till you have one loop left on the hook
The remaining loop on the hook is the right
edge stitch
To start the next Forward Row always skip
the front bar of the edge stitch and begin with the second front bar (= first
stitch) to pull up a loops
Row 1:
FP: TSS : Insert hook through the front vertical
bar of second stitch pull up a loop,
Insert hook through the front vertical bar
of each of the next stitches , one at a
time ,pulling up loops and retaining them on the hook
In the last stitch on the left, insert
hook through both front and back bar of end stitch, pull up a loop and chain 1
RP: Yo, pull
through 2 loops , Yo pull through 2 till 1 loop is left on the hook
R 2 – R 6 : Repeat Row 1 (FP, RP both
inclusive)
Color Change in left edge:
Join and work the Returning Row with new
color C2
R7 to R14

Rp with C2,
R8: FP with C2, Rp with C1
R9: Fp with C1, Rp with C2

Bind off Row:
Insert the hook in the same bar ( second
vertical bar) Yo , pull up a loop and pull through the loop on the hook, ( one
loop on hook left)
Insert into the vertical bar of next
stitch, yo pull up a loop and pull through the loop on the hook, Continue this
till the end and fasten off
Border:
Work a Sc round on each of the stitches ,
in the corner stitches work sc, ch sc

The easiest and the very first in Tunisian
stitch is Tunisian Simple Stitch (TSS).
To crochet a TSS: insert hook from right to
left in front bar, Yarn Over and pull a loop. Repeat with each stitch till the
last on the left.
Chain any number of stitches

FR: Chain the required number of sts and crochet
the foundation stitches
1. R: Work stitches off the hook
as explained above
2 FP: Crochet a
row of TSS in the front bars, work the last st as the edge st in both front and
back bar together. Chain 1
2. RP: Work
stitches off the hook as explained above
